![]() ![]() Oh, changing the subject abit, when it comes to the Genetic Manipulation tech, i think that should be available from the start of the game, since getting creative at the end of the tech tree, kinda renders it redundant since the whole point of that trait is eless unless its had from the start of the game, if that makes sense.īut on Subject, I have noticed in pretty much ALL 4X games, the AI always, even when they are not supposed to know where you are, always expand towards the player to hasten contact. The issue with my playstyle is that i like to turtle, so to speak, hence why i always love to customise a uber race and just expand slowly, so the AI tend to expand alot faster than me, so i am not used to generic race templates. We can load the games up and analyze what is going on with AI decisions making or replicate the game from the beginning if need be. If you have games where the AI is aggressively expanding or weak in expanding send the save game us at. Your comment got me thinking about how we can confirm this theory. I suspect its in the planet generation, i suggest each generation give each race 1 system with 1-2 good planets for their race and i don't mean good as in BEST QUALITY, i mean good for that race, like for Humans, Desert or Tundra is good enough atleast to begin with. I think the problem could be how the planets are decided at the generation of the galaxy at the start of the game, I have had a game where none of the planets were habitable for my race (Humans) and so i had to wait abit longer and by the time i found one world, the AI had over 20 and another time, i have had worlds great for my race and the AI have yet to expand and what is a common theme? Planet placement at generation. We continuing to encourage folks to post what they are seeing, keep saved games for us to test and give us conditions or patterns that they are seeing the behavior. Reports are inconclusive for us to pinpoint why some games the AI is moving around nicely and other games is moving at a snails pace.
